Action Art Collaborative

“Forever Free” follows an adult Claudette as she looks back upon the life-altering events that occurred in Montgomery, Alabama on March 2nd, 1955. Colvin was arrested for refusing to give up her seat on a segregated bus 9 months prior to the similar arrest of Rosa Parks. She was just 15 years old. We see this version of young Claudette also portrayed by Bentley, as the staunch activist and determined woman she would grow to be reckons with the harsh realities that have informed her activism and world-view.
